A Waynesboro man is in jail after a Wednesday afternoon drug bust.

Thomas Wright, 25, was arrested after Burke County deputies and Richmond County narcotics officers served search warrants at his Hale Street home and his grandmother's 8th Street apartment.

Marijuana and a large quantity of Ecstasy pills were found in both homes, as well as grinders, baggies and scales.

Deputies say they believe the grandmother was aware of the criminal activity, but was not involved in it.  The DA will decide whether she will be charged.
