Williams, Smith to unite in marriage

Jamie Smith and Mallory Williams

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barefield Jr. of Waynesboro announce the engagement of her daughter, Mallory Susan Williams, to Jamie Ernest Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph "Jake" Felton Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Godbold. Mallory is also the daughter of the late Mr. Larry Paul Williams of Greens Cut.

The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Waynesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jewell Manning Browning and the late Mr. W.R. Browning Jr. of Glenwood and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Williams of Greens Cut.

She is a 2003 graduate of Burke County High School and will graduate from Augusta State University in May with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education. She is a member of Kappa Delta Epsilon Honor Society.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Myrtle Boyd Davis, the late Oscar B. Boyd, the late Lavell Davis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Felton Smith of Waycross.

He is a 1996 graduate of Burke County High School and is currently employed by Mr. Golf Carts as a sales representative.
