Sardis, Ga – Ola Mae Jenkins Walker, 87, beloved wife of the late Arthur N. Walker, entered into rest Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at University Hospital. She was born April 4, 1920 in Sardis to the late Alex and Ola Broxton Jenkins, having lived in Sardis all of her life. Before her retirement, she was employed as a City Clerk for the City of Sardis. She was a faithful member of Sardis Baptist Church and the Homemakers’ Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Jerome Walker.

She is survived by two sons, Tracy Walker of Sardis, and Bruce Walker (Carol) of Conyers, GA; nine grandchildren, Leticia Oliver, Jerome Walker, Nicole Walker, Jarrod Walker, Shera Owens, Jason Walker, Holly Walker, Jonathan Walker, and Angelena Walker; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
