Lady Bears end season with victory

The Lady Bears ended the regular season on a high note.

The Burke County High School girls (13-9) defeated Evans High School last week 44-36.

The girls snatched up an early lead but were actually behind by 4 at the half. The clouds parted though in the third when Burke County came out and scored 14 points and held the Lady Knights to only 3.

Freshman Antornia Walker led the Lady Bears, as she has nearly every game this season. She posted 21 points and was 11-17 from the foul line.
