Mrs. Dorothy Salter Haston

Mrs. Dorothy Salter Haston, 87, entered into rest Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel, Augusta, with the Revs. Earl Saxon, Oscar Barrow and Dr. Wayne Hunsucker officiating. Music will be provided by David Lamar. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Haston was born in Burke County to Luther Salter II and Tolitha Posey Salter. She lived most of her life in Richmond County where she was employed as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Haston II.

Pallbearers will be Craig Lovell, Tim Lovell, Martin Berry, Tony Berry, Wallace Berry and Jim Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be the Trinity Sunday School class and deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, Feb. 13, 7-9 p.m. at Elliott Sons, Lumpkin Road Chapel.
