Council makes appointments Waynesboro's vice-mayor and former vice-mayor have been appointed to serve on municipal boards. Last Monday, city council unanimously chose vice-mayor James "Chick" Jones to serve on the Land Bank Authority Board. He replaces former vicemayor Neal Leonard Sr. who didn't run for reelection in November due to health issues. Pauline Jenkins, also a former vice-mayor, was unanimously appointed to the city's Zoning Board of Appeals. Jenkins will be finishing out a term for Virginia Webb, who recently resigned due to her health. |
