From the Blotter XXX-boyfriend A Keysville woman contacted authorities after discovering her ex-boyfriend used her identity to purchase porn. According to a report, the ex used her checking account without permission 19 times between Aug. 21-Dec. 20, 2007, racking up $495 in charges to different porn sites. When she contacted one of the sites, she was given the email address that was used when making payments, which, she said, was the same as her ex's. The case is still under investigation. Missing parts Two Burke County residents noticed someone made away with some uncommon loot from their properties recently. In one incident, a 75-year-old Edwards Road resident said engine parts had been stolen from two vehicles in her yard. She stated she did not know when they were stolen, but the parts were there two weeks prior, the report said. The stolen parts included two radiators, valued at $200 each, and an alternator worth $100. In a separate incident, a Waynesboro man reported that a heating unit from his property in Girard was missing. The 5-ton unit was valued at $5,600. WPD will pick you up Deputies assisted a local car rental employee after the woman he rented to refused to return the vehicle. According to a Waynesboro Police report, the employee made several attempts to get the vehicle back, but the woman, who was approximately $600 behind in rental fees, would not return phone calls. He told deputies that when he attempted to locate the woman at her residence, her father cursed at him and ordered him to leave the property. When deputies arrived with the employee, the woman turned over the vehicle and was warned about the possibility of criminal charges against her. Rent-raff An employee of a local furniture rental store has been accused of harassing a customer. The victim, who lives in Sardis, said she rented some furniture items and made numerous attempts to have them picked up. According to a report filed at the Burke County Sheriff's Office, the woman stated that an employee from the store came to her residence, opened the door, looked inside for the furniture and then left the door open. When she contacted him, he told her he was "coming to get his (expletive)," the report said. The victim said he came to her house two to three times a week and sat in her yard 30 minutes at a time. |
