A new mayor and new councilman were welcomed inside Waynesboro's chambers Monday night.
Former Mayor Jesse Stone passed the gavel to newly elected George DeLoach who, in turn, swore in new Ward 2 councilman Herman Brown.
Brown replaced veteran councilman and vice-mayor Neal Leonard Sr. who stepped down due to health problems.
Councilman James "Chick" Jones was named vice-mayor following a 3-1 vote.
