ICE TO NICE
It didn't take long for the ice to melt after last week's freeze. Temperatures soared from the teens last Thursday to the mid 70s this week. At right, the temperatures were frigid enough to freeze up the fountain at the park on Liberty Square Thursday morning. By Monday, children were playing in short sleeves and enjoying their last day of Christmas vacation. Above, Rocquana Drayton, 5, swings her way across the monkey bars at the city park Monday with a little help from her mother, Laquanda.
