Burke Sheriff's Office The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Burke County Sheriff's Office for the past week: Thursday, Dec. 27 • Christopher Marsh, 21, of 801 South Hill St., Sardis, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), possession of prescription drugs in a non-original container, DUI (multiple substances), driving with a revoked or suspended license, unlawful use of driver's license, obstructing or hindering a law enforcement officer (three counts), stalking, criminal trespass and harassing phone calls. Saturday, Dec. 29 • Michael Allen Farrer, 27, of 511 Gordon Road, Sardis, was arrested on warrants for obstructing or hindering a law enforcement officer, driving with a revoked or suspended license, driving while unlicensed and no helmet. A $3,350 property bond was posted. Sunday, Dec. 30 • Jasmine Manekas, 19, of 4729-D Quaker Road, Keysville, was charged with terroristic threats and acts (two counts) and obstruction of a law enforcement officer (three counts). • Raymond Raheem Smith, 28, of 263 McBean Church Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for driving with a revoked or suspended license, failure to maintain lane and false report of theft or conversion of vehicle (Waynesboro police case). A $2,975 property bond was posted. Tuesday, Jan. 1 • James Edward Dixon, 45, of 621 North Hill St., Sardis, was arrested by the Sardis Police Department for battery (Family Violence Act) and obstructing or hindering a law enforcement officer. A $2,600 property bond was posted. Friday, Jan. 4 • Cecil Coleman Johnston Jr., 55, of, 1212 Charles Perry Avenue, Sardis, was arrested for DUI. A $1,300 property bond was posted. • A 15-year-old Waynesboro boy was arrested for battery and unruly juvenile. Saturday, Jan. 5 • Barry Steven Johns, 41, of 167 Pressley Lane, Hephzibah, was arrested for simple assault (Family Violence Act). Sunday, Jan. 6 • Elijah Jones Jr., 51, of 1384 Greene St., Augusta, was arrested by the Sardis Police Department for DUI, driving with a revoked or suspended license, possession of unstamped distilled spirits, no proof of insurance, speeding (46 mph in a 25 mph zone), violation of the Georgia Open Container Law and failure to register vehicle. Monday, Jan. 7 • Brandon Jenkins, 18, of 217- B Tyrone Brooks St., Keysville, was arrested on a warrant for theft by receiving stolen property and for obstruction of a law enforcement officer. |
