Waynesboro Police

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Waynesboro Police Department for the past week:

Tuesday, Dec. 25

• Nicholas Japree Herrington, 21, of 589 Hwy. 56 North, Waynesboro, was arrested for burglary, two counts of simple battery and possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Friday, Dec. 28

• Gerald Wayne Phillips, 35, of 692 OJ Blvd., Waynesboro, was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana (less than one ounce).

• A 16-year-old Waynesboro boy was arrested for DUI, reckless driving and no insurance.

Saturday, Dec. 29

• Cassandra Ilia Williams, 49, of 803 Davis Road, Apt. 1402, was arrested for shoplifting.

• Todd Morgan Yearty, 41, of 1101 Peachtree St., Louisville, was arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license (second offense), no insurance and operating a vehicle with suspended, canceled or revoked registration.

• Joe Edward Drayton, 42, of 423 Donna Circle, Waynesboro, was arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Sunday, Dec. 30

• Jesus Corona, 23, of 217 East 7th St., Waynesboro, was arrested for no driver's license.

Monday, Dec. 31

• Johnny Owens, 45, of 3609 Bitternut St., Augusta, was arrested for shoplifting.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

• Anton Ahmad Smith, 25, of 803 Davis Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for cruelty to children in the second degree, cruelty to children in the third degree (two counts), battery and willfully obstructing or hindering a law enforcement officer.
