Mr. and Mrs. James Luther Henry of Millen announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Lara Henry, to Matthew Dufft Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Stanley Jenkins of Waynesboro. Cochran was recently recognized as a Certified Clerk of Superior Court in Georgia after completing the requirements of the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government. The Carl Vinson Institute of Government, in conjunction with the Institute of Continuing Education and the Superior Court Clerks' Training Council, offers the certificate program for the elected Superior Court Clerks in Georgia. To become certified, Cochran had to complete more than 70 hours of coursework and write a project thesis. Staff Sgt. Richard Faulk received an honor like none other, when he was notified that he was a Purple Heart Award recipient. The 38-year-old Faulk was awarded the Purple Heart in January, after hitting a road-side bomb in Iraq in August of 2007.
