Nine arrested in roadblock
The Burke County Sheriff's Office set up one of its largest roadblocks ever on Friday night along Highway 25 and then again on Highway 56, resulting in nine arrests and a first place award from the East Central Traffic Enforcement Network. An elderly Hephzibah man was jailed after he grabbed the collar of an investigator who was attempting to arrest his 48- year-old girlfriend.
