Williams, Smith to unite in marriage
      Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barefield Jr. of Waynesboro announce the engagement of her daughter, Mallory Susan Williams, to Jamie Ernest Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph "Jake" Felton Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Godbold. Mallory is also the daughter of the late Mr. Larry Paul Williams of Greens Cut.

      Craig and Chastity Sparks of Hartford, Tenn., announce the birth of their son, Craig Owen, born Jan. 2, 2008, at U.T. Tennessee. He weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. Mrs. Sparks is the former Chastity Bartlett of Waynesboro.
