Seed of Faith

Seed of Faith Deliverance Church will hold the ordination and dedication licensing service for Sammy Green, pastor, Sunday, Feb. 24.

Sunday School will begin 10 a.m. followed by worship services at 11:40. Prayer and bible study will be 7-9 p.m.

The public is invited.

Antioch

Antioch Rock Creek Baptist Church will celebrate its 49th annual Women Day program 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.

The theme will be "Christian Women ... God's Leading Ladies." Dr. Elvira G. Jackson of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cross-Green Community Emanuel County will be guest speaker.

The Rev. Dr. David Kemp Sr. is pastor.

Also, a women's conference will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. The Rev. Diane Evans of Avera will be guest speaker.

New and Living

New and Living Way Worship Center will hold its Black History program 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at its new location, 706 Clark Place Road.

New Birth

The ushers ministry of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church will hold a two-night revival Thursday and Friday, Feb. 28 and 29, at 7 nightly.

The Rev. Martris Mims, pastor of Thankful Baptist Church in Hephzibah, will deliver Thursday night's sermon and the Rev. Bobby Williams Jr., pastor of St. John and Williams Grove Baptist churches, will deliver Friday's.

Also, the church will serve free lunch on the fourth Saturday of each month from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

The public is invited.

McElmurray Tabernacle

McElmurray Tabernacle Baptist Church will hold its annual spring revival Monday-Friday, Feb. 25- 29, at 7:30 nightly.

Brown Grove

Brown Grove Baptist Church will hold its annual Black History program 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.

The youth ministry will make special performances.

Also, the church will celebrate the anniversary of the deacons and trustees ministry 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2. The Rev. Melvin Habersham and members of Rosier Grove and Jones Grove churches will be in charge of services.

The public is invited to both events.

Prayer breakfast

The Georgia Clients Council Inc., Burke County Chapter, will hold its annual prayer breakfast 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Neely Grove CME Church in Waynesboro.

William Grove Baptist Church will hold the third pastoral anniversary celebration for its pastor, the Rev. Howard Cheatham, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.

The Rev. Charles Shipman, pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church, will deliver the sermon. The public is invited. Dinner will be served.

Good Hope

Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church will hold its annual winter revival 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, and 6:50 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 25 and 26.

Neely Grove CME Church will hold its annual Black History program 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.

Ward Grove Baptist Church will celebrate its 12th pastor anniversary 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2.

The Rev. Peter Parker and members of Fairfield Baptist Church will be special guests.

Lenten services

Lenten services will be held at Westminster Wednesday, Feb. 20. The Rev. Clinton Bates of Mills Grove will be guest speaker.

The Lenten schedule is as follows - Feb. 27, Metropolitan, speaker the Rev. Peter Sparks of Watkinsville; March 5, Bottsford, speaker the Rev. Roosevelt Anthony of Jerusalem; March 12, Lewis Holy Temple, speaker the Rev. Nathaniel Howard of McElmurray Grove; and March 19, Watkinsville, speaker the Rev. Lerone Lewis of Lewis Holy Temple.

All services begin at 7 p.m.
