Duffie resigns from Extension
Burke County Extension Coordinator Will Duffie has resigned to accept a position in the private sector. After working his last day as an agent Tuesday (Jan. 15), he will immediately begin his new job as a farm advisor with Delta and Pine Land Company, which is owned by Monsanto. ICE TO NICE

It didn't take long for the ice to melt after last week's freeze. Temperatures soared from the teens last Thursday to the mid 70s this week. At right, the temperatures were frigid enough to freeze up the fountain at the park on Liberty Square Thursday morning.
