The Night My Eyebrows Froze
By Ashleigh Kay Jaquess Mrs. Smith's 3rd Grade Class, Edmund Burke Academy

Once upon a time, on a cold snowy night, it was so cold that my eyebrows froze.

On that night, instead of playing outside, I had to stay inside and put hot rags on my eyebrows.

I also tried using my mom's hairdryer to thaw them out, but it didn't work either!

I played blocks and school with my sister and went to bed at 9 p.m.. I was sooooo tired.

I got up the next morning and my eyebrows were still frozen. I didn't know what else to do. I had tried everything.

My friends thought it was kind of funny, but I sure didn't!

Time passed, and it became Christmas day. I got lots of presents, and we celebrated Jesus' birthday.

My friend Amy came to my house to play, and we had to figure out a way to defrost my eyebrows.

We tried dunking my head under water. Since it was a rather warm day, I laid my head in the grass.

Then, my eyebrows finally defrosted and they never froze again until the next Christmas.
