IN MEMORY OF BISHOP BOBBY JOE LAWSON, SR.

March 23, 1932 - December 17, 2006 In loving memory of Bishop B.J. Lawson, Sr. who departed this life on December 17, 2006 in Augusta, GA. Bishop Lawson was the pastor and founder of the Augusta and Burke County True Churches of God in Christ. During over forty (40) years of faithful service and leadership, many souls were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was appointed Presiding Bishop and General Overseer in 1994 and was leading the church body on to perfection. After taking the helm, the Lord blessed churches to be established in Florida, North Carolina and the Philippines. Bishop Lawson is greatly missed and remembered as an awesome man of God who preached, taught and lived the Apostle's Doctrine.

Mom, I miss you but God loved you best. He called you home and said well done, it's time. You're gone but can't be forgotten. Your memories are still strong even after 11 years. I love you so, even the ones that are gone on that I miss so - Louise Thomas, Tommie James McGee, Horace McGee, Sammy McGee.
