Mr. William "Mr. Bill" Gordon Price

William "Mr. Bill" Gordon Price of Hephzibah, husband of Mrs. Victoria Price, entered into rest with Our Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Select Specialty Hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 22, at 3 p.m. in the Hopeful Baptist Church, Blythe.

Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Price lay in state at the church from 2 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Other survivors include four children, Heather Eileen Price of Franklin, N.C., William Heath Price of Wasilla, AK, and Jackson Tolbert Price and Alexandria Marie Price of Waynesboro; as well as a brother, David Lot Price of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; and three granddaughters, Kayla Price, Hannah Price and McKensie Price.

Mr. Price was a native of Volusia County, Fla. He served in life as a carpenter and ironworker but enjoyed a career in the pest control industry, first as an employee, and eventually as the owner of Castle Care, where he was devoted to his customers.

Mr. Price was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church, where he was active in the Adult Sunday School Class and of the Gideons International.

Pallbearers were George Guy, Thomas Oglesby, Joseph McGuffin, Andrew TenHuisen, Darren Jaquess and Mitchell Wall. The Adult Sunday School Class of Hopeful served as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Gideon Faith Fund, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214, or to the Hopeful Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 132, Hephzibah, GA 30815.

The family received friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
