Thieves strike bus shop, classrooms

Deputies are looking for a thief with 400 feet of aluminum.

According to a report filed by the Burke County Board of Education Campus Police, the aluminum paneling turned up missing last week.

Bus shop employees remem- ber last seeing it in mid-November.

Four other thefts were reported to campus police before school was released for Christmas break.

According to reports, a Burke County High School teacher's purse was stolen from her classroom, while another teacher reported the theft of her digital camera.

At the middle school, a teacher reported that a projector valued at nearly $800 was stolen from her classroom.

On Dec. 14, an Evans basketball fan told campus police that his cell phone was stolen during a basketball game here.
