Security cameras solve credit card theft Waynesboro police solved a credit card theft, thanks to some fast spending. According to the police report, a Perkins woman left her wallet in a Wal-Mart shopping cart after unloading groceries. When she realized it was missing, she went back to the cart, but with no luck. The store's loss prevention team struck gold, however, when they reviewed security footage. Not only did it record two women taking the wallet but showed them making two purchases with the victim's credit card less than 15 minutes after it went missing. The woman who swiped the credit card was soon identified as Cedrenia Chance, 36, of Waynesboro. According to police investigator Claude Wade, a warrant for her arrest was issued last week. She is charged with two counts of credit card transaction fraud. |
