Mr. Fred Nelson Petrea Sr.

Fred Nelson Petrea Sr., 51 years old of Waynesboro, Ga., died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 in Waynesboro.

Funeral services were held at Robertson's Heritage Chapel, Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne Dixon and the Rev. George Glenn officiating.

Interment was private and for the immediate family only.

He was born Saturday, Dec. 24, 1955 in Burke County. Son of the late Albert Lester Petrea Sr. and Freddie Teresa Perry Petrea, Mr. Petrea was a member of Botsford Baptist Church, Waynesboro, and worked as a Ranger I for Georgia Forestry Commission.

Surviving are his two daughters, Mindy Petrea of Waynesboro and Alesia Green (Walter) of Augusta, Ga.; his two sons, Fred Petrea Jr. and Charles Petrea of Waynesboro; two sisters, Betty Daher (Jim) of St. Simons, Ga., and Valerie Crews (Mike) of Brunswick, Ga.; a brother, David Petrea (Vicki) of Waynesboro; a granddaughter, Keonna Bryant of Augusta; his former wife, Wanda Petrea, of Waynesboro; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Petrea was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Albert L. Petrea Jr. and Charles Petrea.

The family received friends on Friday, Dec. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Robertson's Heritage Chapel, 220 East 6th St., Waynesboro.

Friends also called at the home of David Petrea, 730 Coleman Young Road, Waynesboro.
