Giving back
For this holiday season, Tameka Gordon and the Augusta Technical College GED class felt the need to give back to the community. "This quarter I have enrolled over forty students, and the majority of the people have been laid off," Gordon said. "Although these people are currently unemployed and face some financial hardships at times, they felt the need to give to someone who may be in worse situations this holiday season." The class, which serves adults who range in age from 16-70, donated more than 50 pounds of food to the Georgia Client Council/Food Bank.
