The books came to life!
Burke Community Partnership (BCP) staff brought books to life during their first book distribution held recently. The readers, pictured above, dressed as the characters in their books and read to the students at Waynesboro Primary and Blakeney Elementary schools. More than 400 students received free books through BCP's Reading Is Fundamental program. The distribution is held three times per year at WPS, Blakeney and S.G.A. Elementary. Reading Is Fundamental is a federally funded program that promotes family literacy.
