Mr. Carl Burdette

Mr. Carl Burdette, 71, of Norcross, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007,

Mr. Burdette was a star high school football and basketball player, an avid coin collector and a Ford Mustang car enthusiast.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 2 at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment followed at Arlington Memorial Park.

As a teen, Carl helped build the Avondale United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Burdette; sons, Walter M. Lovett Jr., David Burdette, and Wayne Burdette; a daughter, Lisa L. McDaniel; grandchildren, Kelly, Kevin and Ryan McDaniel, Jennifer Jennings, Paige Pittman, David, Scott and Jackson Burdette; five great grandchildren; and brothers, Jim Burdette and Tyson Pulliam.
