John A. Minick IV (Jay) and Virginia Minick of Vail, Colo., announce the birth of their son, John Addison Minick V (Little Jake).

He was born 7:06 p.m. Nov. 9, 2007, at Vail Valley Medical Center in Vail. He weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Therrell and Berniece Hannah of Enid, Okla. Paternal grandparents are John A. Minick III (Johnny) and Sandra Minick of Augusta.

He is named after his greatgrandfather John Addison Minick Jr. (Jake) of Brooklet.
