Miss Alexis Nicole Popejoy

Funeral services were held for Alexis Nicole Popejoy on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Central Assembly of God Church in Haughton, La.

The family received friends on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Hill Crest Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m.

Officiating the service was Pastor Andy Harris assisted by the Rev. Carlton Gilmer.

Interment followed at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery.

Alexis passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, as a result of an auto accident.

She was in the 4th grade and attended Princeton Elementary School.

She enjoyed camping, four wheeler riding and loved sports such as basketball, running, jumping on trampoline and swimming. She was a shadow to her big brother, Blaine. Alexis loved her cousin, Laura, and thought she had to do everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her Aunt Karen.

She is survived by her parents, Michael and Kris Popejoy; brother, Blaine; grandparents, Jim and Joy Popejoy and Grace and Sydney Gilliam (formerly of Waynesboro); and a very special cousin, Angelo Bryant; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers were Zach Crouch, Michael Crouch, Chase Crouch, Timothy Wilson, Chad Rhodes and Jack Derbonne.
