Police probe school bomb threat

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab is analyzing the handwriting samples of an entire class at the Burke County Alternative School.

According to Investigator Bobbie Jockel of the Waynesboro Police Department, the samples were collected after a student found a handwritten bomb threat in a classroom last Monday.

The note also contained gang references and a threat against a coach who is in charge of student discipline.

The school was evacuated and searched with negative results.
