Fair rolls into town Oct. 16 Those familiar sounds and lights will soon fill and brighten the skies when the 48th annual Waynesboro Exchange Club Fair comes to town next week. Opening night will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the club's fairgrounds located at 156 Manau Lane. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, and on Saturday at 3 p.m. Admission will be $3, and fairgoers can purchase an armband for unlimited riding for $12 per person. The club will once again hold family night on Thursday, offering $1 off gate admission and skimming the price of armbands to $10. The Music Fest, known to some as the Himalayas, will return this year, as well as a funhouse for the kids. Entertainment will be provided by the Fearless Flores Circus and Thrill Show featuring the Globe of Death - motorcycles inside a steel globe. They'll perform two shows Tuesday-Friday and three on Saturday. Levi Walker and the Impalas will take the stage on Saturday night at 7:30. Proceeds from the fair benefit area students through scholarships sponsored by the club. |
