Womack, Stewart to marry April 5

Ellen Womack and Danny Wilkerson of Twin City announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Elizabeth Womack, to Christopher R. Stewart, son of Mickey and Cheryl Sears of Savannah and Mickey and Sandra Stewart of Waynesboro. The bride is also the daughter of the late Kirk Womack.

The wedding is planned for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Swainsboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of T. W. and Bunnie Williford of Swainsboro, Buck Womack of Canoochee, the late Helen Williford and the late Joyce Chavous.

She is a graduate of Emanuel County Institute and also graduated from South Georgia College in Douglas, where she was a member of the Lady Tiger softball team. She earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.

She is currently employed by the Burke County Board of Education as a fifth grade teacher at Blakeney Elementary School.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of J. L. and Jackie Glisson, Joe and Betty Blackstone and Bobby Stewart, all of Waynesboro. He is the great-grandson of Mary Susan Dunn of Vidette.

He is a graduate of Burke County High School and is currently employed by the City of Waynesboro.
