Miss Purser to wed Mr. Waldon Oct. 13

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Howard Purser Sr. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Kathryn, to Thomas Wayne Waldon, son of Barbara Dunn of Hazlehurst and the late Thomas Dewey Waldon.

The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Hazlehurst. The reception will follow at Twisted Pine Golf Course.

No local invitations will be sent. All family and friends are invited to attend.

The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira Holland of Waynesboro and the paternal granddaughter of Genie Hollingsworth of Cooperville and the late Carlton Miller Purser of Woodland, N.C.

She is a 1997 graduate of Jeff Davis High School and attended Georgia Southern University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. At present, she is employed with the Jeff Davis Ledger in ad composition.

The future groom is the maternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Delos Griffin Sr. of Hazlehurst and the paternal grandson of the late Onita Varnadoe of Hazlehurst and the late Dewey Waldon of Lumber City.

He attended Peach County High School and Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in Tifton. He is currently employed as chief deputy with the Jeff Davis County Sheriff's Department and E-911 Director for Jeff Davis County.
