Fashion show, humorist to headline annual WIB conference Thursday

Burke County Women in Business (WIB) will hold their 14th annual conference 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Burke County Office Park.

Jane Jenkins Herlong will serve as the guest speaker for the event.

Herlong, a certified professional speaker, professional singer, recording artist, newspaper columnist and author, has traveled the country sharing her "down-home principles delivered with uptown humor." She has spoken in New Zealand and Germany and is fluent in four languages: English, Southern, Northern and Gullah (gul-la).

Dillards will provide a fashion show featuring various local models, and a dinner catered by The Good Day Café will be served.

Platinum sponsors for the event include AgGeorgia Farm Credit, Burke Medical Center, First National Bank and Queensborough National Bank and Trust Company.
