Sheriff Coursey says he'll run again Sheriff Greg Coursey says he'll give it one more go. The 60-year-old sheriff says he's changed his mind about retirement after "a lot of prayer and a lot of encouragement." "So many people have been asking me to stay," he said. "With the state of affairs I see our community in, I believe we need somebody with my experience to lead law enforcement in the county." Having won his first election at age 33, Sheriff Coursey will be up for his eighth term next November. If elected, Chief Deputy James Hollingsworth, who had also planned to retire, says he'll also stay on for four more years. |
