Burke County Sheriff The following arrests and citations were reported last week by the Burke County Sheriff's Office: Saturday, Sept. 1 • Johnny Lee Allen, 45, of 134 Kingsley Court, Augusta, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for driving while unlicensed, speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone), possession of marijuana (less than one ounce), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of the Georgia Open Container Law. Tuesday, Sept. 4 • Roosevelt Habersham Jr., 19, of 340-A Barnhart Drive, Waynesboro, was arrested for disorderly conduct and probation violation. Wednesday, Sept. 5 • Charles Fitzgerald Jacobs, 43, of 2345 Helsinki Drive, Augusta, was arrested for theft by receiving stolen property. Thursday, Sept. 6 • Billy Joe Deaton, 49, of 294 Stripp Lane, Trailer 2, Waynesboro, was arrested for aggravated assault (Family Violence Act). • Dianne Marie Carswell, 50, of 501 Del Rio Road, Hephzibah, was arrested for theft by deception. A $1,300 property bond was posted. Monday, Sept. 10 • Purvis Brown, 52, of 221 Barnhart Drive, Waynesboro, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for DUI, failure to maintain lane and failure to obey a traffic control device. Tuesday, Sept. 11 • James Edward London Jr., 21, of 493 Stephens Road, Keysville, was arrested for theft by taking (felony) and two counts of probation violation. Wednesday, Sept. 12 • Ernestine Evans, 57, of 201 Moten Circle, Keysville, was arrested for simple assault and probation violation. • Ethel Mae Meriweather, 46, of 117 East 11th St., Waynesboro, was arrested for simple assault. A $1,300 property bond was posted. Friday, Sept. 14 • Marquitta Lashonda Devines, 23, of Apt. 46 Magnolia Acres, Waynesboro, was arrested for simple assault. A $675 property bond was posted. Sunday, Sept. 16 • Colel Bleeze Bolen, 19, of 1473 Corley Road, Hephzibah, was arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license and no proof of insurance. A $2,312.50 property bond was posted. • Carey Michael Bryan, 18, of 196 Eula Lane, Waynesboro, was arrested for DUI while under 21 years of age, failure to maintain lane and violation of the Georgia Open Container Law. A $2,350 property bond was posted. Monday, Sept. 17 • Ethel Mae Holland, 32, of 1386 Creek Road, Girard, was arrested for reckless conduct. A $1,300 property bond was posted. |
