Tanesha Dukes and JD Powell Jr., both of Waynesboro, announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Patricia B. Oliver (Tiny) and the late Abraham Maddrick of Waynesboro.
The bridegroom-elect is the son of Lula Gray and JD Powell Sr. of Waynesboro.
The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Coradell's Wedding Chapel in Waynesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Carl L. Bogins and the late Anna K. Bogins and Abraham and Evelyn Maddrick, all of Waynesboro.
She is a 1996 graduate of Burke County High School and is a member of Retired Veterans of the U.S. Army. She is currently employed at Dwight Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Lula Bell Lewis and the late Norma and Roman Powell Sr., all of Waynesboro, and the late Frank Trotty of Augusta.
He is currently employed by his family-owned business, Powell Logging.
