Cheer camp champs

Burke County High School varsity cheerleaders attended a UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) camp on Jekyll Island, July 25-28. On the last day of camp they competed against other varsity squads for the title of "Camp Champ." Burke cheerleaders competed in both the cheer and x-treme routine divisions, placing third and first, respectively. The first place finish in x-treme routine, which is a dance and stunt routine, helped the girls become Camp Champs. The squad was also invited to cheer in pre-game festivities at the Capital One Bowl in Orlando.
