Community pep rally scheduled to kick off football

Community members will get the chance to gear up for the season along with Burke County players, coaches and students before the Bears' first game.

Burke County High School cheerleaders will host a community pep rally. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m., Aug. 30, on the football field.

Pigskin enthusiasts will enjoy some game action that night when the female faculty and senior girls take the field for a powder puff game immediately following the rally.
