Victoria Bohannon Victoria Bohannon, 16-yearold daughter of Troy and Susan Bohannon of Sylvania, was crowned Miss Screven County Sampler Saturday, Aug. 10.
As reigning queen, she will participate in activities at the Sampler Arts and Crafts Festival in Sylvania Saturday, Sept. 15, on the courthouse lawn.
Victoria is the granddaughter of Brian and Sherry Bohannon of Sylvania and John and Carolyn Hamilton of Waynesboro.
Christy Webb
Christy Webb of Mercer University was recently selected as one of Omicron Delta Kappa's 2007-2008 scholar- ship recipients.
To be chosen as a recipient of an Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation Scholarship a member must have been a senior or graduated within the past five years and must have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA. The students must also plan to enroll as a graduate student within three years from the date of their application. A national committee selected 20 scholarship recipients.
Webb completed her BA in history and English this past May and will be attending the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill's graduate program in English. She hopes to become a university English professor.
Webb is the daughter of Terri Alley of Waynesboro and the granddaughter of Jean and Cecil Davis of Sparta. She is a 2003 graduate of Burke County High School.
Tara Lewis
Tara M. Lewis of Waynesboro has been named to the president's list at Georgia Southern University for the summer 2007 term.
To be named to the president's list, a student must achieve a 4.0 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credit hours for the semester.
