Botsford

Botsford Baptist Church will have its revival Monday-Thursday, Aug. 27-30.

Fellowship dinner is at 6 p.m., and services begin at 7 p.m.

Jerry Chaddick of Spirit Trust Ministries of New Orleans, La., will be the guest speaker. Ken and Janice Widener will present special music, and a nursery will be provided. The Rev. Wayne Dixon, pastor, invites the public.

Thomas Grove

Thomas Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have its Family and Friends Day 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26.

The Rev. W.B. Tomlin, pastor, invites the public.

Brown Grove

Brown Grove Baptist Church will have its annual Family and Friends Day program 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26.

The Rev. Dr. Melvin Ivey, along with his church family of Greater St. John Baptist Church in Augusta, will be the special guests for the service. The public is invited.

Jobe Spring

Jobe Spring Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its third Pastoral Anniversary for the Rev. Timothy H. Gilmore Sr. 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26.

The Rev. Frederick L. Patterson and the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church family will be guests. The public is invited.

Blount Chapel

Blount Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate its third ushers anniversary Sunday, Aug. 26, with Sunday School beginning at 10:30 a.m. and Mass Meeting at 11:30.

Mary F. Walker will be the worship leader, and the Rev. E.C. Climes will deliver the sermon.

Refreshments will be served. The Rev. F. L. Lewis, pastor, invites the public. All ushers are asked to attend.

New Birth

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its fifth Pastor's Appreciation for the Rev. Anthony F. Gradson 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26.

A dinner will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

Antioch Rock Creek

Antioch Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual revival 7:30 nightly thru Friday, Aug. 24.

Churches in charge of the service each evening include the following:

Wednesday, Aug. 22 - Ebenezer, Westminister Presbyterian, Watkinsville, Thomas Grove, Bottsford Spring and Phillip Grove churches;

Thursday, Aug. 23 - Beechwood, Forest Hill, Metropolitan, Grays Grove, Live River, First Bynes Grove and Bell Grove churches; and

Friday, Aug. 24 - Buckeye, Fellowship, St. John, Second Bynes Grove, St. Clair, William Grove, Walker Grove and Antioch Rock Creek churches.

The Rev. Tracy Wheeler, pastor of Buckeye Baptist Church of Dublin will deliver the sermon each evening.

All churches are asked to bring choirs, ushers and members.

The church will also celebrate its 156th anniversary Sunday, Aug. 26.

Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. and worship service follows at 11 a.m.

The Rev. Dr. David Kemp Sr. is pastor.

The public is invited.

Empowerment Center

Everlasting Life Christian Empowerment Center will have its weekly "Hour of Empowerment" Bible study every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and its Sunday morning worship service at 11 a.m., at its new location, 602 Myrick St., next door to H&R Block Tax Services.

Gospel Explosions

Gospel Explosions Outreach Ministry will celebrate its ninth church anniversary Sunday, Aug. 26-Sunday, Sept. 2, at Gospel Explosions Outreach Ministry No. 1, in Sardis.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sundays and 7:30 p.m. Monday Saturday.

Guest speakers will be Katie Johnson of Augusta, Ashely Moore Sr. of Waynesboro, Chris McBride of Waynesboro, Lerome Lewis of Waynesboro, Wallace Grant of Glennville, Vanny Rucker of Midville, Kristine Brooks of Statesboro and Johnny Ray Jones of Metter. Willie Jones Jr., pastor, invites the public.

Saulters Grove

Saulters Grove Baptist Church in Millen will have its Deacons and Deaconess' Ordination Service 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.

The Rev. Ulysses Barber will be the worship leader, and the Rev. Douglas Cook Sr., pastor of Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Miami, Fla., will deliver the sermon.

The Rev. John L. Bush, pastor, invites the public.

Also, the church will have a Pre- Labor Day musical 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.

Featured guests will be the Rev. Billy Smith and the Radio Angels of Johnston, S.C., Williams Grove Gospel Choir of Millen, The Kelly Family of Sardis, and The Family Gospel Singers, The True Believers and The Bright Stars, all of Augusta. All area churches are invited to attend.
