      It was both a surprise and a disappointment to learn that Mayor Jesse Stone and veteran City Councilman Neal Leonard will not be seeking re-election this year. Both men have made significant contributions to the city during their tenure.

      A guest editorial which appeared in the August 8 edition of The True Citizen was inadvertently attributed to David Goldstein, Media Relations Intern for the AARP. The author of the article was actually Jennie Chin Hansen, president-elect of the organization.
