Troopers release July statistics

Georgia State Patrol troopers from the Sylvania Post investigated five accidents in Burke County last month. According to SFC S.D. Young, those accidents resulted in nine injuries and one death.

During the month of July, troopers from Post 21 also issued 78 traffic citations in Burke County. These included seven DUI arrests, 22 speeding citations, 17 seatbelt violations and five child restraint violations.

One hundred warnings were also issued.
