Edward Eugene Weaver Jr. Edward Eugene Weaver Jr., 44, of Sylvania, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at University Hospital in Augusta. His funeral service was Tuesday, July 31 at 4 p.m. at Thompson Strickland-Waters Chapel with the Rev. George Pevey officiating. Burial was at Screven County Memorial Cemetery. The Burke County native was a member of the Sylvania First Christian Church and Buckmasters. He was retired from Piggly Wiggly where he was assistant manager. Surviors include his wife, Juletta Griner Weaver of Sylvania; a daughter, Colbey Weaver of Statesboro; sons and daughter-in-law, Corey and Christina Weaver and Cade Weaver, all of Sylvania; parents, E. Eugene Sr. and Teresa Bazemore Weaver of Sylvania; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda W. and Craig Reddick of Sylvania; brothers and sistersin law, Hank and Mary Weaver and Chip and Kristy Weaver, all of Sylvania; mother-in-law, Marie Griner of Sylvania; sister in-law, Pricilla Howard of Sylvania; brother-in-law and sisters in-law, Bobby and Wanda Griner of Sylvania and Eddie and Sharon Griner of South Carolina; a grandchild, Landon Weaver of Sylvania; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Eddie Shipes, Michael Shipes, Cody Reddick, Chase Reddick, Bobby Bazemore and Tim Weaver. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Hodges, Billy Pollock and Dr. Al Freeland. Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
