Free school supplies

The Sportsmen Social Club will be giving away free school supplies 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the vacant lot next to Regions Bank.

Supplies will not be given to parents.

Yard sale

The Pastor's Aid Ministry of Rock Creek Baptist Church will hold a back-to-school yard sale 8 a.m.-until Saturday, Aug. 4, at 626 W. Ninth St., Waynesboro.

Fried fish and grilled chicken will also be available for purchase.

Class of '78

The Waynesboro High School Class of 1978 will meet 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Burke County Library to begin making plans for the 30-year reunion.

All interested classmates are asked to attend.

Free legal help

Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) staff will be in Burke County 8:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, to meet with senior citizens who need free legal help on a first-come, first-served basis.

The service is available to those 60 and older who have a civil (non-criminal) legal issue. Staff will be located at the Waynesboro Senior Center, 717 W. Sixth St., Waynesboro.

The GLSP office which serves Burke County is located at 209 Seventh St., Suite 400, Augusta.
