Andrew Thomas recently attended football camp at the University of Georgia in Athens and was able to meet the Bulldogs head football coach Mark Richt.

Andrew, 14, is a ninth-grader at Evans High School, where he will be a member of the football team. He is also in the Explorer program with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

He is the son of James Thomas of Waynesboro and Krista Johnson of Martinez.

His grandparents are Charlie and Gloria Johnson and Leroy and Alice Thomas, all of Waynesboro.
