Mr. Frank D. Mathis Sr.

Frank D. Mathis, Sr., 59, of Hephzibah entered into rest Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Medical College of Georgia.

A native of Seneca, S.C., he was born July 27, 1947 to the late Bentley Andrew Mathis and Willie Mary Morgan Mathis. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Meshelle M. Magill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Fran Mathis; son, Frank D. Mathis Jr. (Debra Ann) of Hephzibah; a daughter, Susan H. Weikel (David) of Apopka, Fla.; a sister, Brenda Lennex (Doug) of Boston, Mass.; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Saturday, July 14, from noon until the time of the memorial service which began at 1 p.m. at DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home, Hephzibah.
