Dr. Murray Day
Commissioners are honoring Dr. B. Lamar Murray on his 50th anniversary of practicing medicine in Burke County by declaring Saturday, June 23, as "Dr. B. Lamar Murray Day." In the proclamation, commissioners recognize Dr. Murray for having served as the county's coroner, for contributing to the operation of Burke Medical Center, for serving as the chairman of the health department and also for being a member of the Burke County Development Authority.
