Divas of Excellence tea honors selection committee The Miss Black Burke County 2007 Selection Committee sponsored a "Divas of Excellence" Tea Saturday, June 9, at the Burke County Library. This year's queen, Veronica Henderson, selected the theme "Glamorous" for the pageant, which will be held Saturday, August 4, at 7 p.m. Each girl in attendance was given the pageant's history, contestant criteria, a question and answer session and summer itinerary, and they participated in a one-on-one interview with the selection committee. Kimber Bell of Sardis, Eboni Evans of Hephzibah, Brittani Scott of Keysville, Warlette Shubert of Millen and Ciara Dukes, Jeanette Lovett, Donnesha Kelley and Altwanette Sapp, all of Waynesboro, were each presented with a pink silk rose and given an invitation to participate in this year's event. |
