Deputies are asking for the public's help in locating a convicted sex offender.
Last week, officers tried to pay a visit to Bruce Lamont Wesby's residence on Shell Bluff Spur Road but learned he hadn't lived there since mid-May.
According to Sgt. Annette Hodge of the Burke County Sheriff's Office, a felony arrest warrant has been issued for failure to comply with the sex offender registry.
All sex offenders on the Georgia registry must notify deputies of any address, job or vehicle change within 72 hours.
Last summer, Wesby, 28, was convicted of felony sexual battery for fondling a minor in 2004.
He was originally charged with statutory rape and child molestation but pleaded to the lesser charge in an agreement with the district attorney's office.
Anyone with information about Wesby's whereabouts is asked to call Sgt. Hodge at 706-554-2133.
