Alive for a reason
After hearing the amazing story of 22-year-old A.J. Reed, one might say he's alive for a reason. Reed was the keynote speaker for Youth Explosion 2007 held at Padgett's Farm on Friday and Saturday. Reed, pictured with a member of the event staff, is a survivor of two attempted suicides, the second of which left him blind and his face disfigured. Now, he travels throughout the country spreading the gospel and encouraging all to form a relationship with Christ. Other guests at the explosion included Arrow gospel recording artist Canton Jones, former Harlem Globetrotter Melvin Adams, Shawn Patrick Williams, Dr. Kim Klaudt, local bass fisherman Jack Williams, Brotherhood of Jesus Christ and various gospel groups.
