'Kool' drinks
 | | For most kids, summer means no homework, daily park visits and family vacations. For Macie Saxon it means an opportunity to take advantage of the summer heat and make some money, or at least a little pocket change. Wednesday, Saxon opened up a "Kool-Aid" stand on Spring Valley Road serving the fruity drink 50 cents a cup. The young entrepreneur sold homemade cookies for 50 cents too. Saxon's older cousin, Amy Jackson, said they ran across the stand earlier that day. "We were in the attic and found it," said Jackson. Saxon is a student at Burke County Middle School. |
